What a Secure Hotel Badge is
Several hotels in Davos sit inside high-security zones because of the high-profile guests and events they host. Entering them requires either an official badge or a Secure Hotel Badge. A Secure Hotel Badge gives you access to the secure zone around these hotels throughout the week.
As a designated Single Point of Contact (SPOC), Davos Premier submits and manages Secure Hotel Badge applications on behalf of our clients.
A Secure Hotel Badge does not by itself guarantee entry to every event in Davos. Davos Premier events, including the Davos Super Intelligence Summit, are invitation-only, and invitations are sent separately. Confirmed attendees receive a detailed confirmation email before each event.
Application process
- Davos Premier applies for your Secure Hotel Badge on your behalf as part of your package.
- Applications begin only once we receive complete and accurate information and full payment.
- Badge fees are non-refundable, regardless of approval or attendance.
- Final approval rests with the Cantonal Police of Graubünden and other relevant authorities. We are not notified of individual security check results in advance. You will know your badge is approved when you collect it in person.
- Badges are collected at the police registration office at Bahnhofstrasse 3, 7270 Davos Platz. Bring your passport or official ID.
- Inappropriate behaviour or failure to follow event and security guidelines may result in your badge being revoked by Davos Premier or the authorities.
Terms and conditions
- Security measures are essential during the Annual Meeting. They apply to hotels within the security zones, including but not limited to the AlpenGold Hotel, the Steigenberger Grandhotel Belvédère, the Precise Tale, and designated areas of the Promenade. A Secure Hotel Badge grants access to all of the hotels listed here and is valid until the end of the week at 18:00. Only one badge per person is needed.
- The Cantonal Police of Graubünden (Kapo GR) controls access to the security zones by issuing badges and vehicle stickers. Everyone inside a security zone must hold a valid badge. All official Annual Meeting badges and police-issued hotel badges grant access to the hotels listed above at all times.
- Each applicant must state the reason they require access to the hotel security zone. The hotel reserves the right to decline access without giving a reason.
Process
- To ensure a coordinated process, every organisation appoints one Single Point of Contact (SPOC) to manage applications with the hotel. Davos Premier acts as SPOC for our clients.
- All badge and vehicle sticker requests must be submitted by an entity trusted and approved by the issuing hotel. You don’t need to provide your passport at registration, but your name must match your official ID exactly. For example, “William Preston” cannot be registered as “Will Preston”.
- Badges must be paid in full before applications are sent for police checks. Submitted lists are binding and charged in full. Cancellations and name changes are not possible, because the police charge for each check requested.
- Davos Premier and the hotel cannot accept responsibility or issue refunds for duplicate applications, or for guests already registered through another hotel listed in the terms above.
- After the police check, the hotel is notified whether each badge has been approved. If there is an issue, the hotel informs us as SPOC, and we will contact you. This feedback can take from 72 hours to one week.
- Badges and vehicle stickers are issued at the police registration office at Bahnhofstrasse 3, 7270 Davos Platz, Switzerland.
- For security reasons, badges are handed over only in person, with a photo taken on site. Every accredited person must appear in person at the registration office with a passport or official ID, and the original vehicle registration document for vehicle stickers.
