Davos 2027 dates: what is confirmed for Davos week so far

Davos week 2027 runs from Monday 18 to Friday 22 January. What is confirmed as of 22 October 2026, what is still to come, and what to settle now.

The Annual Meeting in Davos is listed for Monday 18 to Friday 22 January 2027 at the Congress Centre, according to Davos Klosters tourism and the Davos Congress Centre calendar. Those are the dates to plan around. As of 22 October 2026, the organisers had not published a theme, a programme or a 2027 meeting page of their own. Around the official week, 72 side events in our Davos week planner have published 2027 dates, 20 more have confirmed a 2027 edition without dates, and 89 that ran before have announced nothing for 2027 yet.

What are the Davos 2027 dates?

Davos week 2027 runs over five weekdays, Monday 18 to Friday 22 January 2027. The venue is the Congress Centre on Talstrasse 49A in Davos Platz, and both listings expect about 3,000 participants.

A Swiss news report on 17 October 2026 carried the same dates (cash.ch). Three listings agree. The organisers' own 2027 page is the piece still to come.

For orientation only, the 2026 edition ran from Monday 19 to Friday 23 January 2026 (organisers' 2026 announcement). The 2027 dates above come from 2027 listings, not from last year's calendar. The day-by-day shape of the 2027 official programme, such as when the opening and closing sessions fall, has not been published.

What has the official programme published so far?

Very little beyond the dates. Here is where each piece stood on 22 October 2026.

The organisers' meetings page lists other gatherings but no 2027 edition in Davos yet. In the same 17 October report, the organisers' chief executive said invitations had gone to the heads of state of every G20 country. Participation in the Annual Meeting itself is by invitation of the organisers, and no agency can sell it.

One small marker of the calendar: the organisers already list a virtual debrief for 4 February 2027, which refers to the week as the 57th Annual Meeting.

Which side events have confirmed 2027 dates?

The side programme moves faster than the official one. Many hosts of Houses, dinners and summits publish dates months ahead. Our planner sorts every listing into three groups.

As of 22 October 2026, the confirmed events cluster in the middle of the week. This table counts the confirmed events running on each day, with one example per day taken from the host's own page.

Wednesday also has the most one-day events so far, 11, against one on Friday. Six confirmed events start before Monday, and two run into Saturday 23 January. Country Houses are starting to appear too: House of Switzerland has published 19 to 21 January 2027 and says its programme will follow.

Two details matter for planning. First, 45 of the 72 confirmed events have not published a venue, or share it only with approved guests. Second, most need an action from you: in the planner data, 19 ask guests to apply, 16 take registrations and 12 are by invitation.

What is still to be announced?

Most of the familiar names. As of 22 October 2026, twenty events have said they are coming back without giving dates. Brazil House has retitled its site for 2027 but lists no dates, and Webit Davos says only that it returns in January 2027.

The 89 expected events are the largest group. These ran in an earlier year and have not announced 2027. Some well-known names are in it for now: AI House Davos and Cloudflare Haus still show their 2026 dates. Even the official opening, plenaries and closing sit in this group in our planner, because the 2027 session schedule is not out.

Rules set by the authorities are also pending. The Federal Office of Civil Aviation page still describes the airspace restrictions for January 2026, and the canton's information site still covers 2026.

What is different for 2027

As of October 2026, two changes stand out. On 15 September 2026 the organisers announced that the public Open Forum is discontinued, after 23 editions (organisers' update). Davos has also introduced a limit on temporary event builds: if more than 125 applications come in for the 2027 meeting, they are assessed on a points system. For comparison, 132 projects with medium or large building work went up for 2026 (swissinfo.ch, 1 April 2026).

What this means for planning now

The dates are fixed, and the details are not. That split tells you what to do this month and what can wait.

  • Settle anything that depends only on the dates. Accommodation is the main one. First-time attendees often wait for the programme before booking a place to stay, and that is usually the decision that suffers most from waiting.
  • Pick your days. So far, Tuesday to Thursday carry the most confirmed side events (45, 46 and 41). A shorter trip built around those days catches the most, while Friday is quieter.
  • Apply where there is a form. Many hosts review applications and requests one by one, and some share the venue only after approval.
  • Leave room for what is not published. Session times, the security perimeter and travel rules for 2027 are still to come. In 2026, the police announced personal, vehicle and baggage checks on all access roads and warned that delays were possible (Graubünden FAQ for 2026). Build buffer into transfers until the 2027 rules appear.

Our planner is updated weekly until the end of December, then daily in January, so the counts above will move. We have worked Davos weeks since 2018, and if this is your first week here, our notes on a first visit and on accommodation cover what to settle first.

A practical last step: put 18 to 22 January 2027 in the diary, mark the two or three days that matter most, and check the confirmed list again in a month.
